NOLAN'S 'ODYSSEY' STORMS OSCAR SUMMIT
betting markets crown the epic frontrunner, burying every rival in the Academy race
HOLLYWOOD, Dec. 31, 2027 — Christopher Nolan's take on Homer just seized the Best Picture lead. Bettors now put its odds at 46 percent, up from 36 just two weeks ago. The market calls it a near-lock.
Nobody's close. 'Dune: Part Three' sits at 14 percent. The rest — 'Michael', 'The Social Reckoning', 'The Adventures of Cliff Booth' — barely crack single digits. Nearly half a million dollars has poured onto Nolan's film alone. No director in living memory has drawn this much faith before a single statuette is cast.
